Technical architecture

Shard is built on top of Polymarket's core infrastructure : CLOB, relayer, and data API with a modular application layer on top that handles the workspace, widgets, privacy routing, and wallet management.

Non-Custodial

Shard never holds, touches, or has access to user funds. Keys never leave the user's device. Orders are signed locally in the user's wallet and routed through the Privacy Layer before reaching Polymarket. At no point does Shard have custody or control over any funds.

All on-chain transactions order submission, wallet deployment, DeFi supply are gasless for the user. Shard covers all gas fees on Polygon. Standard Polymarket protocol fees apply on certain market categories see Fees.
